NuMat Technologies is growing

NuMat Technologies Inc., one of the hottest startups to come from Northwestern University grads in recent years, was the picture of inclusion: students and faculty from business, law, engineering and chemistry working together and playing together. NuMat designs and builds systems that displace the need to highly compress gases. In doing so, they enable previously unachievable form factors and cost-advantaged economics in the energy, healthcare, and technology sectors.  The company won an unheard-of five business-plan competitions before spinning out of the university with $2 million in seed money.

In November of 2014, NuMat moved from the garden view to the top floor, expanding to a new 6,000 sq. ft. office.  The new space adds a state of the art analytical lab, an expanded lab for material development, a dedicated machine shop, and dedicated space for computational modeling initiatives.  Additionally, NuMat has been adding staff from industry and universities.  To learn more about NuMat Technologies, click here.
